Learn about QUEST Integration with Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii

Medicaid provides free or low-cost health coverage to low-income individuals and their families. In Hawaii, Medicaid is called QUEST Integration. QUEST Integration is managed by Hawaii’s Department of Human Services’ Med-QUEST Division.

Most individuals who qualify for QUEST Integration will have no monthly cost share, no copay, and no out-of-pocket cost for most covered services. Depending on your circumstances, a small monthly cost share may apply.

Kaiser Permanente participates in QUEST Integration, which provides health coverage for eligible lower-income, aged, blind or disabled Hawaii residents. If you qualify for QUEST Integration and live on Oahu or Maui, you may be able to choose Kaiser Permanente as your health plan.

At Kaiser Permanente, you have a wide network of doctors and specialists to choose from. All of our available doctors accept Kaiser Permanente members with QUEST Integration coverage.

QUEST Integration provides a core set of health benefits, including doctor visits, hospital care, immunization, and pregnancy-related services. If you are already a Kaiser Permanente Medicaid member, visit kpquest.org to see a full list of benefits.

The Affordable Care Act ensures all QUEST Integration health plans offer what are known as Essential Health Benefits (EHB). These ten comprehensive services include the following categories:
